Original-first capture
The process starts with a controlled photographic capture of the real artwork, not a casual phone or room-light photograph.
Fine art reproduction
Metro Vancouver, BC
An end-to-end path from the physical original to a colour-managed archival master and finished fine art prints — for artists who want reproductions that still feel connected to the original piece.
Art reproduction sits between two services: digitizing the original faithfully and printing the digital master predictably. Treating those as one connected workflow makes it easier to compare the print back to the source and adjust the reproduction intentionally.
We first capture the artwork under controlled light, create a high-resolution colour-managed master, then prepare a proof on the chosen paper or canvas. Where a pigment falls outside the printer’s reproducible gamut, the match is handled perceptually so the relationships between colours remain convincing rather than forcing a misleading numerical match.
What you get
01 — 06The process starts with a controlled photographic capture of the real artwork, not a casual phone or room-light photograph.
A colour target captured in the same session provides a known reference for correction.
Lighting can control glare or preserve texture depending on whether the original is varnished, matte, smooth or heavily textured.
The digital master is evaluated on the intended paper or canvas before important edition runs.
Pigment printing on fine art substrates produces collector-ready reproductions for open or limited editions.
The high-resolution TIFF remains useful for future editions, licensing, submissions, catalogues, web and publishing.
Process
01 — 04Photograph the artwork with the appropriate resolution and lighting strategy.
Correct colour, stitch tiled captures when needed and complete agreed retouching.
Print a proof on the selected substrate and compare the result to the original under controlled viewing.
Run the approved size and quantity, then keep the master ready for future reprints.

04Digitization creates the high-resolution digital master. Art reproduction continues through print preparation, proofing and production of fine art prints from that master.
The aim is a convincing, controlled match, but some fluorescent, metallic and extremely saturated pigments sit outside normal print gamut. Those cases are handled perceptually and should be judged from a physical proof.
Yes. A high-resolution archival master can also be used for portfolio images, submissions, licensing, catalogues and publishing.
No. You can begin with a proof or a small run and use the same approved master for later production.
